Very nice breakdown of his nude portrait painting process by Aussie Chris Wahl:

This is a breakdown of my Photoshop process used for the nude portrait art. Also here are a few extra tips…

  1. Shadow and AO layers were originally done separately to make the process easier
  2. Shadow layer was duplicated and set to Multiply and Color burn at varying degrees of opacity above flats.
  3. A quick cheat for the highlights is to use the shadow layer, bump up the contrast until it’s almost black and white then set layer to Screen.
  4. To give your art a soft sexy feel, duplicate your art to another layer, apply gaussian blur, then lower its opacity for that ‘vaseline on the camera lens’ look.

Be sure to follow Chris on Instagram, Twitter and his blog (which has a really nice selection of art tutorials too)!
