Gabrial Picolo – aka Picolo-kun – has created a fantastic tutorial on the basics of inking. He covers everything from practicing to make your hands steady to line thickness, line weight, shading, analog inking, digital and more. He seems to cover almost everything about inking!

Typically we’ve used the Rule of Thirds for composition but in this example she explains the similar “3 to 5 ratio”:
